Jaipur: The country on Wednesday recorded a surge in the biggest 12-day surge of Covid’s death since June 15, taking the number of victims to 9,031.
In the past 24 hours, the country reported 13,398 new cases took the overall calculation to 10,70,004.
This is the highest single-day leap since May 15.
On that day, 13,565 people had tested positive.
The active case in the state rose from 69,388 to 74,561.
Jaipur reported 3,310 cases.
The active case in the city has increased from 19,686 to 20,829 in 24 hours.
Jaipur reported three deaths, while the two deaths were reported from Bikaner and Jodhpur and each reported from the city, Sikar, Dausa, Ajmer and Alwar.
“Three Covid deaths in the city were senior citizens aged 92 years, 74 years and 60 years old.
They all died in private hospitals, having comorbidities and diseases related to age,” said Dr.
Narrettam Sharma, Head of Medical Health Officer (Jaipur- I).
In January (up to 19), 67 people had died of Covid, which was a significant leap.
Overall, 1,13,777 has been tested positively in 19 days.
Although death has increased significantly in the state, the mortality rate is only 0.05%.
The health department official said those who died had comorbidity and problems related to age too.
In the case of the case, Jaipur was attended by Alwar (1244), Jodhpur (1212), Udaipur (876), Ajmer (587), Chittorgarh (568), City (429), Bharatpur (382) and Sikar (382).
