Jaipur: The Chairperson of the Ashok Minister Gehlot has reduced the registration fee to convert agricultural land into non-agricultural land up to 75% below the campaign ‘Prasashan Saharo to Sang’ on Friday.
Exceptions will apply to colonies that are notified on or before March 31, 2019.
It will make cheaper conversions for families who have lived on agricultural land up to 300 square meters during the campaign period.
Costs have been reduced to Rs 50 per square meter to land up to 300 square meters below the municipality; Rs 75 per square meter and Rs 100 per square meter if the land is under the city council and corporation.
At present, the cost of registering 300 square meters of land will be charged between Rs 90 and Rs 384 in various areas.
High costs have prevented people from registering land, forcing the government to reduce it.
It will also encourage the population living in this land to turn it into non-housing land.
“Conversions will enable them and local administration to conduct welfare schemes,” the official press statement said.
This scheme applies to payment once together by paying Rs 500 for maps to obtain land certificates.
In addition to revising the registration fees, taxes and other costs have also been released by the state.
To promote and encourage social work, the government has provided 100% liberation to charitable organizations that convert agricultural land into non-agricultural land.
Gehlot directed officials to inform the public about the exception and neglect made by the government.
