Jaisalmer: Barmer police raided two shops in Barmer and Balotara to sell fake electronic items from branded companies.
Items worth Rs 4 lakh are confiscated from electronic stores in Barmer, while at Balotara items worth RS 6 Lakh are confiscated.
The police arrested three defendants under copyright law.
The police said that there was a possibility of destroying a large gang behind the racket.
SP Deepak Bhargava said they raided the shops after receiving a written complaint from the company’s officers.
The teams find items made locally like fans, iron, pressure stoves, geysers with branded company stickers.
Shopkeepers Rajesh Kumar, from Barmer and Mahendra Singh and Singh Day from Balotara were arrested.
