Jaipur: Food Security Officer, with the help of police in the Kotputli area, destroying sweets such as milk cakes, Barfi and Laddu allegedly stale, carried in a vehicle from Alwar on Saturday.
The vehicle came from Khairthal from Alwar District and was heading to Jaipur.
More than 100 inspections of food adulterers were carried out in the last three days throughout the state.
Health department officials destroyed 60 kg of mawa candy (milk cake), 17.5 kg Laddus was made using soybean oil, four kg of Barfi doda and 18 kg sweet cakes.
“We received information from the police that they had stopped the vehicle carrying sweets near Kotputli.
The police suspected that it was stale.
Our team rushes to a place for further action,” said Dr.
Narrettam Sharma, Head of Medical Health Officer, Jaipur (I).
When the Ministry of Health team reached the place, they found Alwar’s milk cake, Barfi and two types of laddus.
“The candy smells foul and looks like stale.
We then destroy them,” said Naresh Kumar, a food security officer, who reached the place.
Towards Diwali, the Ministry of Health has launched a campaign with Food Pezilo.
Because of the increasing demand for candy, the health department suspects that some criminals will enjoy food forgery to make money.
The department is alert to food forgery.
“In the last three days, we have done more than 100 inspection of shops and units that produce food goods.
Our team is alert and they collect food food samples suspected of being falsified or sub-standard quality,” said Dr.
Ravi Prakash Sharma, an additional director (Rural Health), Ministry of Health.
On October 14 and October 15, the Ministry of Health collected 129 samples that have been sent to the laboratory for testing.
13,000 liters of fake Ghee confiscated: Under the campaign launched by the Ministry of Health for food security in front of Diwali, department officials conducted inspections in three Ghee-producing units and won 13,000 liters of Ghee on Saturday.
Ghee was confiscated from Ganesh Trading Company in Nirman Nagar, Priyanshi’s body at Nahargarh Road and Parshvanath Trading Company at Kukkad Kheda bathing in Sikar Road.
The Ministry of Health Team collects ghee samples sold under the name Vastu, Ram Mehar, meaning, Gopi Shree, Idana, Krishnam and corvas from three companies.
