Jaipur: Rural areas now register more vaccinations than urban areas.
During the last 15 days (except on August 15), the state reported more daily vaccinations in rural areas than in cities.
In rural areas, more than 33.7 doses of lakh were given in the last 15 days (August 8-22) compared to 13.6 lakh shots in the urban zone.
The focus of the Ministry of Health in Covid vaccination has now shifted to rural areas.
With the selection of Panchayat is scheduled in several districts, the Ministry of Health has increased vaccination in rural areas to provide shields for the community.
Facilitators such as health workers or Ashas also mobilize beneficiaries in rural areas and those who live in urban slums to get JAB at the nearest vaccination center.
While talking about drive vaccination, Health Minister Raghu Sharma told TI that the center had allocated around 55 doses of lakh for August.
“We need 2 doses of crore in August, which we have demanded from the center,” Sharma said.
