Jaipur: denied the central claim that there was no death due to lack of oxygen during the second wave, the state government on Thursday said the majority of Covid’s death in Rajasthan occurred due to the oxygen crisis.
The state government said the center was not looking for information about Covid’s death due to lack of oxygen before making a statement in parliament.
“The second wave began in mid-April and continued until May-end.
During this period the country witnessed around 6,500 covid deaths mainly due to the oxygen crisis.
In the central statement in Rajya Sabha that there was no death due to lack of oxygen reported by countries, I wanted to ask To them when they asked us to report such deaths.
If they ask us, we will notify them that most Covid victims occur due to the oxygen crisis.
They have just asked the number of daily deaths because of Covid, “said Minister of Health Raghu Sharma told toi.
During the second wave peak, the state has reported more than 18,000 daily infections and active cases up to more than 2 lakh.
“When people were dying because of the oxygen crisis during the peak of the second wave, the state government sent a team of three ministers to Delhi demanding more oxygen for patients.
We have also written a number of letters, including by the Chief Minister of Ashok Gehlot and me, demanding more oxygen For patient care.
The center has obtained oxygen plants and stores its distribution in its jurisdiction.
The first basic requirement of Covid patients is oxygen and if they do not get it, death occurs, “he said.
He accused that Covid management by the center was not in accordance with Mark.
“If they have made the right management, they will not erase the Minister of Health, which is a kind of acceptance of improper management,” Sharma said.
Anticipating the third wave, the state government states that it focuses on setting more oxygen plants and installing oxygen concentrators in rural areas at the primary health center level.
Officials claimed that they faced a lack of oxygen during the second wave, which is why the state government now increases oxygen production in the state.
