Jaipur: The Minister of Member Committee of the Five Members arranged to decide on the reopening of the school had put it aside for the next two months until the process of vaccaming children began to talk to TOI, Minister of Health Raghu Sharma, who is also a member of the Committee, the word vaccine for children was at the stage Third testing which means that it is expected to be available for them in the coming months.
“Until the children are vaccinated or their vaccination begins, it will not be an ideal situation for them to visit the school,” Sharma said.
Passing onus to the central government, Sharma said the government was associated with the Indian Medical Council for research (ICMR) and seeking their guidance for the same thing.
“Even the central government has not opened a school run by them.
Decisions will be taken to maintain the health of our children in mind,” Sharma said.
Experts say unless most parents are inoculated and vaccines for children introduced, the state must reopen the school in staggering ways.
The committee will reach out of school and parents in the next meeting round.
Principal and Sawai Controller Man Singh Medical College, Dr.
Sudhir Bhandari, echoed Sharma’s concern by stating that he saw no reason to start school for the next 2-3 months.
Quoting a surge in cases in Maharashtra and Kerala, he said, “The two countries registered nearly 20,000 cases every day.
Our country was hit by a second wave of almost one and a half months after the two countries had seen its peak in the second wave,” Bhandari said, who believes the country Will be more confident having a situation in Maharashtra and Kerala is better.
Experts also said two customary vaccine candidates – Covaxin and Zydus Cadila – for children it is expected to be used at the end of August providing protection to children and adolescents.
