Raj to increase TB testing to eradicate disease in 2025

Jaipur: aims to make Rajasthan free of Tuberculosis (TB) in 2025 under the national tuberculosis removal program, the Ministry of Health will increase its TB testing throughout the state by regulating a health camp.
For this purpose, the Ministry of Health has requested assistance from the Minister of Health of the Mansukh Mandaviya to ensure the availability of equipment used in identifying TB patients.
At present, 60 cbnat and 60 truous engines are available in the state to test TB, while the outsourcing process of more than 100 machines has also begun.
Health Minister Raghu Sharma said that since Rajasthan is geographically the largest country in this country, more resource is needed.
He asked the center to provide three cellular vans and additional CBAAs equipped with mobile vans to the country.
He took a problem with the center of the lack of cartridges used in the cbnaat engine.
He said every year 1.50 lakh cartridges needed in the state.
In such situations, the center must provide sufficient amounts of cartridges.
Sharma on Thursday virtually attended the launch program to give a pace to find the case of Active Case (ACF) TB and Nikshay Poshan Yojana led by the Minister of Health Union.
The ACF campaign is underway since 2017 to identify TB patients in the state.
A total of 96,823 TB cases in this country were notified on the Nikshay portal until now in 2021, while the 1.37 lakh case was told in 2020.
This year because Covid, identification of TB patients remained affected.
At present, 72,000 TB patients are undergoing treatment in the state.
TB patients during treatment were given by Rs 500 per month under Nikshay Poshan Yojana.
The state government in 2020 was paid by Rs 25.05 Crore to 96,394 TB patients and Rs 8.20 Crore to around 48,000 recipients this year so far.
