Jaipur: As alleged irregularities have emerged in Indira Rasoi Indira Rasoi State’s scheme, the Directorate of Local Agency (DLB) is ready to set a very easy system.
Many registered complaints recently that alleged false receipts are produced by operators to receive state government grants without providing food, when an online system does not work.
In the whole state, 358 locations for the kitchen have been arranged, after spending RS 100 Crore.
To develop infrastructure, the state government has provided Rs 4.87 lakh for each operator.
Every year, Rs 2 Lakh Grant is also provided.
The cost per plate is Rs 20, however, provided at the subsidized level.
Consumers must pay only Rs 8 per plate.
Schematic monitoring is done using technology.
Beneficiaries that have cellphones, receive coupons via SMS.
A senior official said, “We have written a letter to the Information & Communication Technology Department to develop offline modules to issue a coupon.
Many times, the operator claims the online system does not work.
In that situation, it is difficult to verify that food has been provided or not.” Note will be maintained in an offline system.
The operator must upload it online.
“The operator can issue online coupons only after permission from Nodal officers in the local body,” said the source.
After the change in the regime, the Congress government had overhauled the Annapurna Rasoi scheme which was launched by former Minister of Vasundhara Raje to present food with subsidized rates throughout the state.
The reason for this step is that the existing Congress government wants to provide food to the poor after spending money in a transparent way.
“The department will soon develop a system that is very easy to check leakage.
We have directed to maintain offline beneficiary records,” said an official.
