Jaipur: Because the arrangement is available for the funeral of the leader of the Kuldeep Squadron Singh in Jhunjhunu, there has been no official confirmation of when the remaining mortal will reach the original village.
Officers who died in a helicopter accident along with 12 others, will be identified after DNA testing.
Singh is a native of Ghardana Khurd, which is located about 42 km from the district head office.
He is among 13 people including defense staff, General Bipin Rawat, who died in a helicopter crashed in Nilgiris Tamil Nadu on Wednesday.
“We have all the preparations in the village and young people in the village have cleaned up the spaces while we all just tried to entertain the family.
While in sadness, Kuldeep’s father was very proud of the sacrifice of his son for the country,” said a village elderly.
Singh’s father retired from the Navy, his sister also served in the armed forces.
The source claimed that the wife and sister of the deceased officer was in Delhi where they were waiting for the remaining mortal squadrons after he had been positively identified.
Meanwhile, LT Col Harjinder Singh, another defense personnel from Rajasthan, who was also killed in the same accident would likely be cremated in Delhi himself after his mortal remnants were handed over to his family.
