Jaipur: The wife of the Jawan army has run from the pillar to the post to find her husband who has been lost for more than a week now.
Havaldar Yashpal Singh from Dholpur took the train on December 5 to return to his regiment in Cargil after leaving one month.
It was the last time his wife Neetu heard from him.
When submitting a report of the missing person at the local police station did not help in finding Singh, the family placed a Singh poster in Dholpur and also wrote to military authorities in Delhi, seeking help.
However, until now, there was no successful effort to get the news about the soldier.
Speaking to Ti, Neetu who was confused said, “On December 5, my husband took the train and called around 11:30 a.m.
to tell me that he was fine and would call me during the trip.
However, after that the phone was turned off and there was no one else who contacted me.
I submitted a report of the missing person and on Saturday even sent a letter to military officials in Delhi to ask for help.
I fear something happened to him, I feel helpless.
“Singh comes from 16 Rajput and will reach Ambala from where he will proceed to the place of his post.
“He should report to Chandigarh, we have told the unit personnel.
We have placed posters in the area and even spread the news on social media in the hope that someone might give us some information about my husband.
I have two small children and don’t know how to find it .
He was not under pressure and did not have personal hostility with anyone.
He only brought Rs 10,000 for a trip, “Netu added.
Meanwhile, Dholpur police have formed a team to look for missing soldiers.
SP Krah Singh told Tii, “Singh’s cellphone was turned off because we could not get the location, but we have formed a team to look for it.”
