Jaipur: This center has increased the allocation of Covid vaccine for Rajasthan this month.
Of the 53 doses of lakh allocated in August, the quota has now been raised up to 96 lakh for September.
If vaccination continues at the same speed, it will take 5-6 months to complete in the state.
Health Minister Raghu Sharma on Thursday said the state has developed basic infrastructure to provide 15 lakh vaccines per day.
He has asked the health minister of Union Mansukh Mandaviya to provide vaccines according to vaccination capacity developed in the state.
The number of doses managed in the state has risen to 4.57 crores, but still far to go to reach the target of 10 doses of crore vaccines.
Rajasthan is in the fifth place in this country in the list of countries with the highest number of covid vaccinations.
Uttar Pradesh with 7.56 crores, Maharashtra with 6.07crore, Madhya Pradesh with 4.77crore and Gujarat with 4.77 crores are in the top 4th position.
At Uttar Pradesh, more than 15.27 doses of lakh were given on Thursday, while in Rajasthan, the number of doses provided was only more than 2.4 lakh.
Because the current pandemic situation in the state is less controlled, the state focuses on covid vaccination.
Only eight positive people tested in the state on Thursday took the overall calculation to 9.54.108.
The country toll stands at 8,954.
The district that reported a new case was Jaipur (4), Ajmer (2) and one case in Jalore and Bikaner respectively.
The Minister of Health said that the state made preparations anticipate the third.
He said the department had arranged oxygen generator to the concentrator for the availability of 1,000 metric tons of medical oxygen.
He said the number of beds in Nicu, Triggers, SNCU and ICU continued to increase in children’s hospitals.
Along with this, the basic infrastructure has also been strengthened in 332 public health centers chosen, so there is no burden of patients in the district medical institutions and the general public can obtain all medical facilities around it.
