Colombo: Sri Lanka T20 player Bhukuka Rajapaksa was fined $ 5,000 and handed over a one-year ban on Monday for giving a critical interview against the management of the National Council.
Sri Lanka Cricket said the 29-year-old boy violated his contract with interviews to local media and on the social media platform.
The prohibition was suspended for two years, and the council said Rajapaksa had been included in the training squad for a series of Indians from July 13.
Batsman left hand said the interviewer last month that he was unfair than the one who had just closed the England tour where Sri Lanka lost one day and T20 series.
He played his first T20 against Pakistan in October 2019 and the last time in January 2020 against India.
