Jaipur: Rural Police Jaipur, in a joint operation, arrested 13 people and detained minor because of alleged their involvement in various cases of booty, fires and murder on the national highway.
SP Shankar Dutt Sharma said the special team of Virat Nagar, Shahpura, Manoharpura, Kotputli, and Dudu police were assigned to follow up on leads related to different violations and accused.
Two pistols, a state-made gun (Desi Katta), and four cartridges were restored during the raid.
Sharma said six were accused of being arrested for various cases of booty, murder and shooting in the Manoharpur area and Shahpura.
They were identified as Mahesh Bhola (25), who looted Rs 1.7 lakh from a businessman in Shahpura, Mal Puran (28) held to shoot and the murder of a businessman in Manoharpur, and Mahesh Meena, Surendra Meena and Vikas Kumar were held to hide it accused Conduct Manoharpur crime.
Similarly, Sita Ram (32), a resident of Virat Nagar, was held for helping the case of the Manoharpur conspiracy.
Police said Manoj Meena (23) was beaten to death in the Bhojpura area under the Manoharpura police station on November 7 and the police arrested two major accused in the case identified as Papu RAM Gurjar (60) and Baldev Gurjar (60).
Sharma said during the attack, the police arrested Abhishek Pahalwan (22) and seized illegal firearms from him.
The defendant was sought by the police for firing highway restaurants in Kotputli.
The police also arrested two defendants, identified as Mahesh Panihar (19) and Dinesh Patel (20), Virat Nagar to open fire on a 26-year-old young man on November 12.
Additional SP (Dudu) Tejal Singh was arrested by Mozamabad police a 21-year-old man and a 27-year-old girl because of their alleged involvement in looting people on the highway.
