Jodhpur: Tourists coming to Jaisalmer will now be able to see the Indo-Pak border closely.
BSF works on border tourism models little beyond Tanot Mata temple to make Waghah-Attari border like a charm.
The initiative will start in the form of beating retreat ceremony at Babliyan Post next month and will soon be expanded to border posts and Khajuwala Sanchu Bikaner.
IG, BSF (Rajasthan Frontier) Pankaj Goomar on Tuesday said that every citizen of the country has a desire to visit the international border and remember this, BSF has been working on a model to develop tourism at border posts close to the borders.
“For this, a stadium with a seating capacity of 2,000 visitors have been built in the Post Babliyan.
At first, we will hold a retreat like the one on the border of Atari from next month,” said Goomar adding that Pakistan would not do a part of this event for at the moment.
BSF has taken this initiative in association with the state governments.
While satisfying the desire of citizens to see at first glance like Waga-Indo-Pak Attari Border, this initiative is also intended to instil in visitors a sense of patriotism.
A large number of tourists and worshipers visit Tanot Mata Temple every year and almost all of them maintain a desire to visit the Indo-Pak border, which is about 20 km from the temple.
But in the absence of such permission, they must return with a desire that is not full.
