Jaipur: In all, 72.32% of voters carry out their franchise to decide the fate of 130 candidates as elections by Sarpanches posts at 34 grams of Panchayats held in 19 districts on Sundays.
The highest voting was recorded at Gram Panchayat from Dhorimanna Panchayat Samiti in the Barmer district where 92.88% voters voted their voices.
At 46.18%, the lowest voting was recorded at Gram Panchayat from Basni Panchayat Samiti in the Sayaur district.
While no nominated papers submitted in eight grams of panthayats, candidates win are not limited in six other Gram Panchayats, read the State Election Commission (SEC) statement.
Chitra Gupta Chief Electoral Officer told that 19.08% of voters had been recorded at 10 am.
The percentage of voting reached 38.39 to 12 noon, 58.21% until 3pm and 72.11% chose their voice until 5:30 a.m.
Initially, 214 candidates had submitted 215 nominated papers for Sarpanches posts in 40 grams of panthayats.
After supervision and nominated withdrawals, 130 candidates were left in a fight.
