Jaipur: Following pressure from civil rights groups, the chairman of the Ashok Minister Gehlot handed over the luxury of the brutal attack on RTI Acra Activist Amra Ram Godara for CID-CB on Saturday.
Gehlot also announced the assistance of Rs 2 Lakh to the victim.
The State Police Headquarters has formed a special (sitting) investigation team to investigate this problem.
On Saturday night, the CID CB team went to Barmer to investigate this case.
“The Sprank level officer will investigate this problem to provide justice on time to the victim,” said an official.
Gehlot has instructed Jodhpur collectors to visit the MDM hospital to find out the welfare of the victim.
“The victim’s family is satisfied with treatment,” Gehlot said, adding that since the day of the incident, information was collected from DM and Barmer SP.
The incident occurred on December 21 when Godara was brutally attacked by a group of people to expose them through RTI.
“A CB cid team under the CB CB Gaurav Yadav has rushed to Barmer to investigate this problem,” said DGP (crime) additional Ravi Prakash.
The police have arrested four people – Bhupendra Singh Jat, Ramesh Kumar Jat, Khartaram JAT and Adesh Jat.
