Rajasthan cm ashok gehlot takes stock of power situation

Jaipur: Chairman of the Ashok Minister Gehlot reviewed the status of power cuts and short supply of diammonium phosphate (DAP) in the state through video conferencing on Tuesday.
Gehlot said that the best management was carried out at each level for the smooth supply of electricity.
To increase the supply of coal, officers have been sent to Singrauli and Bilalaspur.
The main secretary, energy and major secretary, agriculture, has been sent to Delhi for coordination with senior officials.
It was informed at the meeting that the state government ensured payment of advances for coal supply to Indian coal Limited and the company Associate National Coalfields Ltd (NCL) and South Eastern Coalfileds Ltd (secl).
There is no delay in payment at each stage.
National Coalfields Ltd., Rajasthan Vidyut Utpadan Limited (RVUNL) has been paid for all RS 393 Crore contributions in August 2021 itself.
After this, under the fuel supply agreement starting September 2021, now the company is paid in advance for coal supply regularly.
Payment of down payments from RS 228 Crore has been made for NCL from September 1 to October 8 as well, secl circulating RS 50 Crore has been adjusted in July 2021 under the process of reconciliation of coal supply less than the amount specified in the thermal kalisindh.
Also, RS 135 Crore arrears have been paid in August this year.
Since then, payment in advance for SECL has also been started from September 2021.
Advance payments around RS 92 Crore have been made for companies from September 6 to October 4.
However, on September 27, SECL has received information through a payment letter 277.61 Crore is due.
While Payment of RS 459 Crore claims SECL under the mechanism for settlement of Alternative Dispute Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited since 2018 is still delayed.
It was told at the meeting because of the lower import this year, the gap between demand and supply of DAP has increased throughout the country, affecting Rajasthan along with other states.
During April to September this year, Cenre only provides 3.07 lakh metric tons of DAP against request of 4.50 lakh metric tons in the state.
Also, with a request for metric metrics 1.50 lakh in October, 68,000 metric tons of DAP has been approved.
This has caused DAP shortages in the state.
The state government is making sustainable efforts to increase the supply of DAP.
