City: Police Baran arrested a 45-year-old man from the Jhalawar district on Friday night, two days after he allegedly raped a 17-year-old girl.
The girl from the girl took her to the man under the Kawai Police Station from the district for exorcism after his condition deteriorated on Wednesday.
The defendant was produced in front of a local court on Saturday which ordered to send him a prison with Judicial custody.
Meghwal Raghuvee, a village resident under the Kawai Police Station, was arrested on Friday night from Jhalawar for allegedly raping a little girl at her home on Wednesday, said Kawai Sho Kirdar on Saturday.
In the decline of their girl’s health, his parents took him to the devil repellent for relieved.
The man then sent his parents to the market to buy certain items to do a ritual to drive an evil spirit from the underage.
When they went to the market, the defendant was suspected of raping the minor, police said.
When the old man returned to Meghwal’s house, they found the girl unhealthy.
When they asked, he told him a crime by Devil’s repellents, said Sho.
His parents rushed to the Kawai Police Station with minors and submitted a rape case against Meghwal, which was ordered in the IPC and Pocso for rape, he said.
