Jaipur: Just like Rajasthan Administration Services (RAS) and Rajasthan Police Services (RPS), doctors have intensified their requests for separate cadres – Rajasthan Medical Services (RMS).
Even though they have demanded a separate cadre over the past 10 years, doctors have begun to put pressure after the first and second covid waves.
“We have demanded a separate cadre for the last 10 years since 2011.
The ministers and doctors have signed an agreement in 2011 where a separate cadre for doctors is one point.
The government has agreed.
Similar agreements on separate cadres agreed in 2017, but The government has not formed a separate cadre for a doctor, “said Dr.
Ajay Chaudhary, who is one of the leaders during the 2011 agitation of the doctor.
He said after the Pandemic Covid, the doctor again demanded the implementation of the agreement peacefully.
Separate cadres are intended to complete various problems including promotions and posts.
“Because we do not have separate cadres, even senior doctors are posted in public health centers.
Also, separate cadres will ensure the selection for promotions for higher posts based on seniority-cum-merit,” said Dr.
Laxman Singh Ola, a doctor representative who took demand with separate state governments.
On the day of the doctor, Health Minister Raghu Sharma said, “The doctor’s request for separate cadres in accordance with the agreement in 2011 and 2017 is waiting.
The Cadre Committee has presented a proposal to the State Government in June.
The proposal will be checked and the decision about it will be taken immediately for Implementation.
