Rajasthan: Furious Villagers killed Leopard at Sikar

Jaipur: Leopard was brutally killed by a horde in the village of Surani District Sikar on Monday.
The villagers killed the leopard by hitting him with a stick, even after the forest and police reached on the spot.
According to the report, after exploring the Jhadli Forest area, the sub-adult is hiding in the millet field.
The villagers were suspected of fields and began to pursue the animal.
After being surrounded by people, the leopard billed and injured a boy.
In anger, the villagers killed the leopard.
A forest official said, “After the boy was injured, the villagers were uncontrolled and attacked the animal with sticks and stems.
Leopard died in place.” DFO Bhivaram Choudhary said, acting on that information, Ranger was sent to the place.
“Before every effort can be made to save animals safely, the nervous villagers killing leopards.
The carcass has been taken to Jaipur for post-mortem.” The villagers accused that children face continuous threats as wild animals venture themselves in the fields , A villagers said, “The Ministry of Forestry must prevent these animals from getting up from the forest area by providing decent water and food in it.
This is a threat to humans and animals.”
