Jaipur: A team of anti-corruption bureau (ACB) on Monday captured the block of social security officers posted in Chirawa and Junior assistant posted in the Department of Social Justice, Jhunjhunu for allegedly accepting bribes of Rs 40,000.
Bribery was sued as a substitute for releasing RS 5 Lakh compensation.
BL Soni, Director General, ACB stated that the defendant Priyatam Dangi, a social security official in Block Chirawa and Rajiv Kulhar had demanded Rs 40,000.
“Both of them have asked for this bribe as a substitute for releasing an incentive of Rs 5 Lakh for the scheme intended for inter-caste marriage,” said Soni.
Following complaints, the trap was placed where the two defendants were arrested for accepting bribes.
“They continue to ask for bribes from others as a substitute for releasing incentives to the government scheme ‘beneficiaries,” he added.
The case of prevention of corruption law has been submitted against the defendant in this case.
Also, the search was made in their residential and official place.
