Rajasthan Govt to provide Teej Hotels on rent, Union

Jaipur: The State Government has enabled the Commercial Tax Department to take over RTDC Jaipur located Tej Hotel on rent for officials.
The government’s decision came at 400 nights at the hotel had been booked until February.
In the past too, the department had decided to issue property but after protest by the UNI of the RTDC employee, the move was stopped.
Acoording to Union, commercial tax will take a rental hotel for the station one of the departments which the government has given land sanctions.
Union said that this tourist season was peak and the room had been booked.
“After the commercial department starts working here, all hotel materials such as beds, TVs, chairs and furniture and other specific hotel assets must be auctioned.
It will be very difficult to restart the hotel again,” said Tej Singh Rathore, President of the RTDC employee association .
He said this hotel has increased its occupancy rate to more than 25% and has been profitable several times except for the Covid period.
Marriage has also been ordered, he said.
In fact, the decision to provide rental hotels to run the office has been surprising for employees.
“We don’t know when the decision is taken,” another source said.
According to sources, Teej has performed better in terms of occupancy and profitability, two other RTDC properties in Jaipur – Gangaur and Swagatam.
Lately, the State Ministry of Finance has tried to rent a hotel, but failed to make a decision.
