Jaipur: The state government has launched a Rajiv Gandhi scheme for the Academic Excellence (RGS) scheme to help 200 students contribute to pursue higher education in 50 certain universities located around the world.
Candidates can begin applying for upcoming academic sessions from October 22 through hte.rajasthan.gov.in/.
Minister of Higher Education Bhanwar Singh Bhati said below this program, financial assistance will be provided for studies at the undergraduate, postgraduate, doctoral and post-doctoral levels in the 50 famous institutions in the world, including Oxford, Stanford University.

Bhati said for the undergraduate level, scholarships will be given only for subject studies related to the Humanities.
He said that of 200 students will contribute, 30% of seats will be provided for girls.
He said before applying for a scholarship, applicants must enter in their respective foreign institutions.
Under the scheme, preferences will be given to candidates with family income less than 8 lakh per year.
Sandesh Nayak College Education Commissioner said 150 students from Humanities, Social Sciences, Agriculture and Forest Sciences, Science and Environmental Sciences and Law will be elected, 25 students will come from management, business administration, economics and finance; And 25 students from pure science and the subject of public health will be given a scholarship.
