New Delhi: Rajasthan and Maharashtra have emerged as countries scored in the ‘age country’ category, while Chandigarh and Mizoram each increase in the Union and North Eastern countries respectively, a report on quality of life which is indicated by the elderly.

The report classifies the ‘age country’ as those who have an elderly population of more than five million.
The country with less than five million parents has been called ‘relatively age’.
The report identifies regional patterns in aging throughout the state and provides deeper insight into what is done to support the elderly population.
The report index framework includes four ‘pillars’: financial welfare, social welfare, health and income security systems; and eight ‘sub-pillars’: economic empowerment, educational achievement and work, social status, physical security, basic health, psychological welfare, possible social and environmental guarantees.
The index made by the Institute for Competitiveness highlights that the best way to improve the life of older generations today and the future is to invest today in health, education and work for young people.
The health system pillar shows the highest national average of 66.97, followed by 62.34 in social welfare.
The financial welfare score is at 44.7, which is lowered by low-performance 21 states throughout the achievement of education and labor pillars, which have scope for improvement.
Many states have performed worse in the pillar of income security because more than half have a score below the national average of 33.03, which is the lowest in all pillars.
