Jaipur: Rajasthan has been occupying among countries in terms of labor generation under Garib Kalyan Rojgar Abhiya (GKRA), which is launched by the center in June 2020 to increase employment opportunities and livelihoods for migrant workers who return and both affect citizens In rural areas in the wake of pandemi.
Of the total 50.78 Crore Persondays, 15.39 Crore Personday has been produced by Rajasthan, which is the highest among all six countries.
The total expenditure during the campaign was Rs 39,293 Crore.
This was told by the Minister of Compatibility for the Rural Development of Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti in a written reply at Lok Sabha on July 27.
Among other countries, Bihar produced 11.19 Crore Persondays, Uttar Pradesh (10.58 Crore Persondays), Madhya Pradesh (9.99 Crore, Odisha (2.30 Crore Persondays) and Jharkhand (1.33 Crore Persondays).
“The purpose of This campaign is to provide direct employment opportunities and livelihoods to depressed villages, to saturate public infrastructure and the creation of livelihood assets to improve the activities of the income generation and increase the opportunity of long-term livelihood by focusing on 25 works (including working below Mahatma Gandhi Nregs) in 116 Selected Districts in 6 Bihar States, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh, “said Reply.
A total of 12 Indian government ministries / departments participated in the campaign.” There is no single wage rate repaired for Workers.
