Jaipur: Officials of the CGST Department of Tax Delivery Branch on Monday arrested the mastermind of tax avoidance through fake bills – by more than 80 fake companies – equal to Rs 158 Crore, read the official statement.
Mastermind Praveen Jangid, a resident of Ladnu, Nagaur, was arrested and served before a court.
Allegations were sent to prison after the court order.
The defendant has avoided taxes through fake companies in other countries too.
In the same case, three other partners from Jangid – Ramchandra Vishnoi alias Laddu, Himmat Bhati and Hemant Tyagi – were arrested by the department on July 10.
The action was taken by the tax refugee (Jaipur) following the direction of CP Goel’s President Commissioner, Commissioner with Shashi Panwar and Deputy Commissioner Parul Singhal.
