Jaipur: Together with several other districts, Jaipur also won’t see Covid vaccination drives on Monday because of the unavailability of doses.
The availability of vaccines has become a cause of concern for the beneficiary recipient who has qualified to receive the second dose in July.
Because the first dose has been given to more than 40% of the benefits of 5.14 crore who qualifies in the state, almost 75 lakhs have qualified for the second dose of this month.
On the other hand, the state is expected to only receive 65 lakh doses this month from the center.
To increase the second dose, the state government requires a vaccine.
At present, some districts do not have a vaccine to make travel moving.
“In some districts, we do not have a dose,” said Siddharth Mahajan, Secretary of Health.
In Jaipur too, more than 15 beneficiaries of the Lakh have qualified for the second dose in July.
“In the past five days, we only received 64,000 doses.
We must close at the vaccination center on Monday because we have not received supplies on Sunday,” said Dr.
Narrettam Sharma, Head of Medical Health Officer, Jaipur.
On Sunday (until 6pm), 63,890 shots were given where 3,318 was the first dose and 20,572 seconds.
The state government has told the center of the dosage needed by the state in July.
In a letter by Minister of Health Raghu Sharma to partner Harsh Vardhan, he demanded the center to increase the dose allocation of 65 lakh to 1.5 crore this month because they needed 75 lakh jabs for the second dose.
According to the Ministry of Health officials, they will not be able to vaccinate the second dose for all beneficiaries that meet the requirements in July if the center does not increase the allocation.
