Jaipur: Two workers died after the stone mine surrendered to Samode on Wednesday night.
The police said that they were checking whether the mine operated with a license and followed all safety guidelines.
The victims have been identified as Vikram Singh (32), residents of Nagaur, and Bhag Chand (26), ajmer residents.
Workers operate heavy machines used to dig when the stone comes crashing them.
Both Singh and Bhag Chand rushed to the hospital in Chomu as soon as the accident occurred at around 5.55 pm.
Both of them gave up on hospital injuries and their bodies shifted to the morgue.
“We are waiting for members of the victims to arrive in the city so post-mortem can be done,” said an official.
Govindgarh DSP Sandeep Sarswat told the Toi that the police were investigating the incident.
Other officials said that it must be checked if the mine operates with a license.
“A fir will be submitted in the case after family members reached Samode,” officials told toi.
