Jaipur: The Child Commission will establish a vaccination camp at a children’s shelter in all states for adolescents aged between 15 and 18 years.
During various discussions with officials, the child panel found that there was an instance that came to light when a child did not have evidence of age.
The Commission has written to CM Ashok Gehlot who asked not to let this anomaly block vaccination.
The Rajasthan State Commission for the protection of children’s rights, Sangeeta Beniwal said, “This is our priority that all children between 15 and 18 years have lived in vaccinated shelters and we will establish camps in all institutions in the state.” Beniwal also appealed to parents, school authorities, and coaching centers to encourage all children who qualified to get vaccination.
To anticipate the third wave that can affect more children, the Child Commission with Bachpan Bachao Andolan has provided a Covid assistance kit for all children’s shelters in the state, especially after several minors living in this shelter.
Kit contains 13 important things like sanitisers, masks, oximeters, thermometers, etc.
Officials claim that while similar kits have been distributed earlier in several locations, now they have been given to every shelter to prevent infected children.
170 kits have been distributed to child care institutions in the state.
In addition, staff at this shelter have been given strict instructions to follow the Covid protocol and use masks in addition to maintaining a record of people visiting shelter.
