Dharwad: Immediately, those traveling from Hubballi-Dharwad to New Delhi do not need to spend 36 hours to reach the national capital.
The Ministry of Railway Union has agreed to introduce the Bengaluru-Hazarat Train Nizamuddin Rajdhani quickly via Hubballi-Dharwad.
The Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has accessed requests by Dharwad MP and the Union Minister for Pralhad Joshi’s parliamentary affairs.
Until now there are nine trains that connect Hubballi to New Delhi and they all start from Bengaluru.
While several trains went through other Gadag-Bagalkot-Vijayapur-Sholapur went through Dharwad-Beselaghavi-Miraj-Pune-Bhopal-Agra-Mathura and reached Hazrat Nizamuddin.
From Hubballi Junction, this train takes 36 hours to reach Hazrat Nizamuddin.
Time traveling on a new train will be 28 hours because there will be a limited number of stops.
This train is expected to run at an average speed of 139 kmpj and all the trainers will be air-conditioned.
Until now, Rajdhani Express (Train No.22691) from Bengaluru did not benefit travelers from Hubballi-Dharwad because the route did not touch the twin cities.
“Demand for fast trains between Hubballi and New Delhi have been delayed for a long time.
The new Rajdhani Express will have the number of dismissal and limited people must bear the termination in more stations,” said Prahlad Narsapur, a former member of the train consulting committee.
SWR sources say detailed proposals have been sent to the train ministry and the announcement can be made during the budget presentation.
Prahlad Joshi told Ti that Ashwini Vaishnav had also agreed to start the Dharwad-Bengaluru-Dharwad Vande Bharat Express.
This train will reach Bengaluru in six hours and reduce travel time of two hours.
Joshi said the train minister had received a proposal to build a service road on both sides of the new train bypass between Kusugal-Amarol.
This will help village farmers along the railway line.
