Rajkot: Rustic police Rajkot had to ignore the shame on Tuesday morning when a police chief was drunk, took a police vehicle and was caught having a personal moment with a woman in a police vehicle in the middle of the road.
The police chief was identified as Ashwin Makwana, came under the scanner when local residents Shapar Veraval found it and women had personal moments in the car on Jalan Shapar-Dholra on Tuesday morning.
The duo did not get out of the car, so the locals began to record videos and notify the police.
Makwana has verbal altercation with people and then when the police arrived, he argued with them too.
On Tuesday afternoon, videos recorded by locals became viral in the region.
The police said that Makwana was taken to the police station where he could not stand or he could speak properly.
He then told the police that he had consumed alcohol.
The police said that on Tuesday morning when Makwana was not on duty, he was drunk and left with a police vehicle.
He then picked up a girl and they headed for the Shapar-Dholra road where they were then arrested.
“We have registered two different violations of Makwana.
One of them under the ban on the ban and the other is to pamper themselves in obscene acts in public and take government vehicles,” said Deputy Inspector Police Pratersinh Zala.
The woman, who later claimed to be a relative of Makwana, was also ordered for obscene acts in public along with the police.
