Rajkot: A comprehensive study that stretches six years has revealed that patients who suffer from intestinal ulcers face the threat of other organs is also affected.
The study, which was strictly involved in observing 227 ulcerative vocational patients (UC), carried out by Rajkot-based Rajkot gastroenterologists Dr.
KK Rain.
Studies published in the famous Journal of Indian Gastroenterology aim to find out the Side effects of UC and subsequent operations, especially from attachments, carried out in several patients.
According to the doctor, UC clinical manifestations are not only limited to large intestines but a large number of patients see their organs such as joints, skin, eyes, liver and blood vessels are too involved.
Side effects are proven to be even fatal if they are not diagnosed and treated on time.
The risk of patients loses eyes, becomes permanently disability or suffering from very painful arthritis.
Heart involvement can be fatal as well as vascular complications that produce important blood clotting, research has revealed that UC’s side effects are more common in patients undergoing appendicitis surgery, inflammation of attachment, regarded as vestigial organs that do not not carry out any function.
The inflammation of this organ produces extreme abdominal pain after most of the patients get it.
This study shows that removing attachments from the body is a risk factor for side effects called extrainestinal manifestations (eim) in medical language.
The significant findings of this study are that the most possible side effects are found on the skin, followed by joints, eyes, blood vessels and blood.
Rajkot was chosen for the largest single home prospective study in India specifically designed to find the existence of EIM in UC and Risk factors.
Dr.
Rawal, the most common age group influenced by this disease is between 20 years to 40 years, although this disease can occur in 30-day children and someone is also 90 years old.
In this disease, boils and inflammation are found in the large intestine and rectum.
According to study, of 18 patients with UC side effects, every third person underwent surgery for appendicitis.
“Early diagnosis and treatment of side effects can make life better for patients.” Dr.
Rawal added.
