Pune: Defense Minister Rajnath Singh on Friday Defense Force personnel who participated in the Tokyo Olympics, including the gold medal Olympic Medal of the Winner of Javelin Thrower Neeraj Chopra, at the Sports Army Institute (ASI).
Rajnath also named the Stadium of the ASI after Chopra, who pocketed the country’s first gold in Athletics on the Marquee event and also became the only second gold medalist for India after the Bindra Abhinaav shooter.
Chopra was also present on that occasion.
