New Delhi: Defense Minister Rajnath Singh on Thursday inaugurated the warning of the war which was changed in East Ladakh Ladakh East Rezang, the epic battle site where Indian troops bravely against the Chinese army in 1962.
Singh described the determination and respectable courage displayed by the Army India which he said was not “only eternal on the history page, but also beat in our hearts”.
“The historic battle of rezang La, fighting at a height of 18,000 feet, it’s hard to imagine today.
Major Shaitan Singh and his colleagues struggled to the ‘last bullet and last breath’ and wrote a new chapter and sacrifice,” he said.
Defense Minister Tweeted that he paid tribute to the Indian army who made their highest sacrifice while reaching REZANG LA, which was located in the midst of the Ladakh hills that were inaccessible, in the 1962 war.
“The Battle of Rezang LA is considered one of the ten largest and most military conflicts Challenging in the world, “he said.
The changed warning of the war has been discarded at a time India and China has been locked in a bitter border deadlock in East Ladakh for almost a half years.
The Indian army has occupied a number of mountain peaks at Rezang La Region in August last year after China’s aggressive posture and efforts failed to intimidate Indian troops.
The East Ladakh border deadlock between the Indian and Chinese military erupted on May 5 last year after clashing violence in the area of Lake Pangong and both parties gradually increased their placement by rushing on tens of thousands of soldiers and heavy weapons.
Tensions increased after deadly clashes in Galwan Valley on June 15 last year.
As a result of a series of military and diplomatic talks, both parties completed the release process on the north and South Bank of Lake Pangong in February and in the Gographia in August.
The last round of military talks on October 10 ended behind after both parties blamed each other for the deadlock.
In a strong statement after the 13th round talks, the Indian Army said “constructive suggestion” made by unpleasant negotiations for the Chinese can also not provide a proposal “forward-looking forward”.
Each side currently has around 50,000 to 60,000 troops along the actual control line (LAC) in the sensitive sector.
