Rajouri meeting: Slain terrorists have visited Pakistan in a valid newspaper

“One of the terrorists (killed in a August 6 meeting in Rajouri) has been identified as Ramees Ahmad Tanray from Ramnagri Shopian.
He has traveled to Pakistan on a legitimate Indian passport in February 2018 and is not known to have returned after that,” said a spokesman police.
The second slum terrorist has not been identified when the search still tracks other terrorists believed to have escaped from Cordon.
Security agents have made a quick estimate of passports issued between 2015-2019 and found that of 40 young men who had gone to Bangladesh or Pakistan for studies, 28 had infiltrated the country as trained terrorists.
This is an addition to more than 100 Kashmir youth traveling to Pakistan on a valid visa for short duration and not returning or disappearing after they return in the last three years.
Security agencies worry that they could become the possibility of terror group sleep cells operating from across the border.
To prevent young people to visit Pok with the pretext of education and join militancy, visa J & K procedures and security permit norms have been tightened, said DGP Singh.
This year, around three to four terrorist groups – including one in the bandpora and about three in the Rajouri-Poonch sector – have infiltrated on this side so far.
“The four terrorists who have crossed to this side through the Machil and Gurez sector were killed in the bandipora.
In Rajouri, two ultras were killed on August 6,” DGP said.
Pakistan’s full launch pads and security forces have strengthened anti-infiltration grids both in Loc and Hinterland to thwart the possibility of infiltration offers, he added.
