Jammu: Rajouri Police arrested a man on Tuesday for allegedly insulting Prime Minister Narendra Modi in social media videos.
The defendant, identified as Shoket Hussain, is a resident of Dehrian Rajouri Village.
He was arrested for making “insulting and unpleasant comments” against PM Modi in the video he uploaded on social media, a police officer said.
Based on the complaint submitted by supporters of the video, the police registered the case and arrested the defendant, said the officer, added that further investigation was taking place in this matter.
On December 9 last year, police Rajouri had arrested a shopkeeper from a village near Rajouri to post unpleasant content to the General CD Bipin treated on social media.
