New Delhi: MP TMC Arpita Ghosh has resigned from Rajya Sabha and his resignation was received by Venkaiiah Naidu vice president, notice from the Secretariat of Rajya Sabha told Wednesday.
His resignation has surprised many members of his own party.
“Ms.
Arpita Ghosh, a member of the elected State Council (Rajya Sabha), who represented the West Bengal state, resigned from his chair at Rajya Sabha and his resignation was received by the Chairperson, Rajya Sabha Wef on September 15, 2021,” The notification said.
Ghosh was among those suspended during the commotion at Rajya Sabha Jn Parliament session recently concluded where the two parliamentarians and marshal were allegedly injured.
