Rakhi Sawant recently opened about the early days in the industry and how he struggled to stay fit and slim when photographing for his debut film, ‘Main Hoon Na’.
Speaking with the news portal, Rakhi reportedly revealed that when he lived in a Chawl, he could not step out in glamorous clothes he was wearing for the film.
The actress added that when she had to give an audition, she wrapped the curtain around it and reached the venue.
This is also how Farah Khan met Rakhi.
Furthermore, Rakhi reportedly added that he had to try hard to remain slim during his modeling days.
The actress even revealed that she only had a bowl of Dal every day during the shooting ‘Main Hoon Na’ which marked his debut in Bollywood.

Given the day when he pocketed the role in ‘Main Hoon Na’, Rakhi stated that he got a call from the Farah Khan office, and they called him to audition in the Shah Rukh Khan production office and things changed from there.
According to him, once he raised the phone, he lost consciousness.
He added that his mother gave him a bowl of Dal and that’s when he made sense and began preparing the audition.
‘Main Hoon Na’ also starred in Shah Rukh Khan, Sushmita Sen, Sunel Shetty, Amrita Rao and Zayed Khan in the main role.
