Arepally (Warangal): Village residents of the rakhis bonds Ararar and spurs for plants in their fields in unique protests on Monday against their illegal survey of land allegedly by Pune-based company workers (horse) staff Kakatiya.
The villagers have blocked the highway too protest on Saturday.
The two-district collector where the village falls now has ordered an investigation into land surveys.
Chairman of the Marri Horse Yadav Reddy has denied knowledge about land surveys in around 1,600 hectares in both villages.
The villagers accused the police ordering them for highway protests but did not register their complaints against ‘surveyors.
A group of 4-5 ‘surveyors’ have come to the village for the past few days and collecting land details of the villagers.
This problem was boiled on Saturday after the villagers asked the ‘surveyor’ that refused to show any ID evidence.
The villagers managed to capture their notebooks and IDs from one of the men who showed them as workers from Pune-based science and technology parks.
Worried, a group of around 1,000 villagers marched to NH-163 and blocked it.
The police posted farmers and transferred them from national highways.
On Sunday, the villagers claimed that a man identified himself as a satyanyana from a horse called them to work together.
The villagers said that the man cut the call when he was told to come up with proof of ID and instead submit a case against them at the Hasanthy police station.
According to villagers, police revenues and officials did not respond to their requests for investigations.
Therefore, on Monday, the villagers bind Rakhis to their plants and then around 500 of them went and met two collectors – R Hanumanthu Hanumakonda and M Haritha of Warangal.
The two collectors, who convinced farmers about their land, ordered RDO to investigate and advise farmers not to share any details with foreigners.
