The enforcement directorate has called several celebrities with respect to money laundering cases in drug trafficking problems.
Bollywood actors like Rakul Preet Singh and Daggubati’s shutter have been called on this problem.
Other tollywood celebrities such as Ravi Teja, Charmee Kaur and Director of Puri Jagannadh were also asked to appear in front of the agency.
According to a report on TOI, all celebrities were called to appear before the investigation body from September 2 to 22.
Rakul Preet Singh has been summoned on September 6, Dagubati Rana on September 8, Ravi Teja on September 9 and Mumaith Khan has been asked to appear before the agency on November 15.
This is a four-year case and due to lack of evidence, a special investigation team (sitting) from the Excise Ministry does not continue with actors and no cost sheets are also submitted against them.
Also when celebrities were questioned by sitting, they denied that role.
Revealing details about this case, an ED official told Toi, “About 12 cases were ordered by the Telangana Department and the Department of Prohibition and 11 sheets of fees were met.
Most drug traders around eight people were released in those cases.
Most of them were lower.

Likewise, until we get proof of Tollywood celebrities will be considered as witnesses.
