Nashik: A group of bandh supporters allegedly pelted stones and police on Friday night triggered tensions in the city of Malegaon in Nashik Maharashtra Regency.
Some non-political organizations have held Bandh to protest alleged violence against the minority community in Tripura.
During the general meeting, the supporters of the bandh saw several shops open near the new bus stand in the eastern part of the city after they began throwing the stones.
“Police control riots reaches a place to extinguish hordes.
But the uneasy Bandh supporters began targeting the police and throwing stones with them.
In retaliation, the police used a mild lathi cost,” said a police officer.
Deputy Inspector General of Police B G Shekhar Patil said that the situation was controlled in Malegaon.
SP Sachin Patil said the protesters pelted rocks into a building that accommodated shops in the basement and hospital on the first and second floor.
“We have mobilized adequate police in the city.
We will beg people not to pay attention to rumors,” said Patil.
