AYODHYA: Stung by allegations of irregularities at a property deal related to the expansion of the assumptions of the Ram temple at Ayodhya, the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra has dismissed discussion of their hope obtaining the plot in more than twice times its market cost as”sexually motivated and deceiving”.
Hours later AAP MP Sanjay Singh and also ex-SP MLA Pawan Pandey alleged the trust purchased 12,000 sq m of property valued at Rs two crore for Rs 18.5 crore, expect overall secretary Champat Rai pointed out that property costs from Ayodhya had increased manifold as the SC’s 2019 verdict from the Ram JanmabhoomiBabri Masjid title dispute.
“The property’s current rate is nearly Rs 5,000 a sq ft.
Thus, for its 12000 square meters, so its cost is currently about Rs 60 crore,” another participant said.
In 2017the property’s original owners — Kusum Pathak and Harish Kumar Pathak — had entered in to an arrangement with Sultan Ansari, Ravi Mohan Tewari and other people to market the scheme for Rs two crore.
Afterward, Rs 92 lakh has been paid into the Pathaks.
About March 18 2021, the arrangement was cancelled along with a registry was conducted involving them, following which Ansari and Tewari became the owners.
They offered the plot into the confidence for Rs 18.5 crore.
“Following SC conclusion, the cost of property has grown over 20 occasions,” the member said.
