Thiruvananthapuram: The leader of the Senior Congress of Ramesh Chennithala will be on Saturday visiting Purimala Adivasi Colony near Ambori on the suburbs of the Thiruvananthapuram district.
Visiting the tribal colony on the new year’s day was Chennithala’s practice began when he had served as KPCC president in the early 2000s.
The Ramesh Chennithala office told me that he would reach a colony around 9am on Saturday, after trekking more than 8 km of forest land.
Chennithala began a visit to the colony as part of the Gandhi Gram program for the development of the SC / ST section.
The leader of the senior Congress was used to visit the colony when he became Minister of State House at the Chandy Ommen Ministry and the next opposition leader in the State Assembly .Chennithala would have lunch with them in the colony and will leave the settlement at night, after watching their traditional art / ritual performance .
