Nagpur: Even though the direction repeatedly from the Nagpur bench of the Bombay High Court for more than a decade, the government and other authorities have failed to defend the Temple of Ramtek Gadh, a popular pilgrimage center which was intercepted by thousands of people every year.
Amicus Curiae Anand Jaiswal in the detailed report submitted in HC on Wednesday showed that all four gates of the temple were in a dilapidated condition and needed attention and urgent improvement.
Even the State Archaeological Department in Affidavit on July 12, 2019, shows that Gates – Varapa, Shirpur, Bhairav and Gokul – in bad conditions.
“The department has stated that the gate repair work will begin with direct effects.
However, it does not seem to be done by them at all.
Gokul gates are occupied by recipients and are used as offices and book kiosks.
This reduces the beauty of the structure and seizes visitors to the nuances of an ancient ancient gate .
“While sending a variety of deteriorating structures, Jaiswal recommends that besides repairing this gate immediately, the recipient must be directed to shift to several other places so that the gate can be restored to the original splendor.
Emphasizing routine maintenance of all ancient structures in the place of historic temples, Amicus shows that most of the damage made in them is due to lack of maintenance.
“If routine maintenance is carried out, the life of this structure will definitely be prolonged.
Noticed that there are various vegetation that grows in stone structures and moss growth.
This requires regular periodic maintenance by the right agency.
Also need to set up funds for the same thing.” Division bench which consists of Judge Sunil Shukre and the Anil Kior then postponed the trial for two weeks.
It heard pills filed by Amit Khot’s social worker who argued that the historical temple of more than 700 years old belonging to the Vakatak regime along with other temples such as Kalwal Narsimha and Rudra Narsimha deteriorated due to lack of maintenance.
HC has also taken awareness of Suo Motu based on various media reports that showed a dilapidated condition of the historic temple, which almost collapsed.
