Ranchi: Conscious (West) Inspector Mohan Pandey was expelled from his position and shifted to the police line after the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Tuesday arrested his subordinates to accept bribes of Rs 20,000.
Ranchi SSP Surindra Jha said Pandey had been removed from the post to prevent it from interfering with investigations.
He added that further action will be taken according to the ACB report.
One Gope Rajendra had told ACB that he was attacked by several criminals on January 22, following whose wife nested was firs with the Pithoria police station.
He added that the inspector was looking for a total of Rs 20,000.
