Ranchi: Bhagwan BiriSa Biological Park in Ranchi reopened for visitors on Friday after 85 days and on the first day, 350 visitors set foot on the 156 acre zoo to see a glimpse of the animal.
Director of the zoo y K Das welcomed the first batch of visitors with bouquets.
For many people, the newly introduced double riding bike is an additional attraction.
“The visitors have the mandate to wear a mask and use hand cleansers at any time.
Social distance must also be maintained,” said Tii.
Although the state government has allowed 50 people assembly at certain times in public places, park management mandates that no more than 25 people will be permitted at once.
The zoo was closed for last year because Jharkhand emerged from the first wave of Pandemic Covid-19.
It was opened on March 1 this year but was closed in mid-April because the Covid-19 case began to rise in the state.
DAS said nearly 60% of the zoo workers, consisting of guard cages, gardeners, cooks and others, were vaccinated.
“Anti-viral drugs are sprayed on animal cages and birds every day.
Schedule-1 Animal, who is aging, made to undergo a month’s health check,” said the watershed.
Last month, after the death of a 10-year-old tiger named Shiva of symptoms such as Covid, park management had collected nasopharyngeal swabs and blood samples from 11 other big cats, which included six tigers, three lions, one leopard and one Black Panther and sent him to Ivri At Bareilly for Covid-19 RT-PCR tests.
All 11 big cats are tested negative for Covid.
