Surat: Police Inspector and Rander Station Sub-Inspector were suspended on Wednesday due to negligence after a famous gangster escaped from their detention last week.
Police Commissioner Ajay Tomar suspended Inspector H M Chauhan and PSI L Enai.Police Airport Security Inspector P L Chaudhary was posted in a choke.
The Saju was arrested by DCB from Nagpur after the land broker filed a complaint against him with the Athwalines police station.
On Friday, Desai and his team went to Lajpore’s prison to hold Kothari’s Saju, which had been released by the guarantee on the same day.
According to the police, Sajju – with the help of his brother Aarif and Aide Yogesh Tandel – go into a fight with a police party and run away.
“For about a year, Aarif and Yogesh are desirable to the police record due to violations of gambling registered in December 2020,” police sources said.
In December 2021, Yogesh handed himself before passing through the police three days for a different violation and got a guarantee on three days.
Aarif also gave up and got a guarantee from the police station on the same day.
Their involvement in the Saju escape was found during the initial investigation.
Police officers found the procedure for guarantee Aarif and Yogesh suspicious.
Questions submitted about why local police did not take action under Pasa or kick (the existence) or notify high-ranking officials.
Investigation further about the escape of the Sjju has been submitted to the DCB, said the source.
