Ahmedabad: Police with police Ranip was attacked by a son of a police officer with a screwdriver on Sunday when the police ranip tried to intervene in a fight between the police and other men in the police line ranip.
In his crook with the police Ranip, Constable Vipul Shardul, 25, which with the police department for four years, said that the incident occurred when he patrol in the ranip area on Sunday night.
The hearing argument between the defendant Narvijaysinh Jhala, 25, and another man Nagji Desai, 26, PAN shop owner, in the police housing quarter in Ranip near the central prison, Shardul went to them and told them not to fight and tried to calm them down.
But Jhala, whose father Takhusinh Jhala was deployed to the police headquarters, began to argue with Shardul and threatened him to leave.
Shardul said in Fir which he tried to convince Jhala that he was on duty and he could not fight with Desai.
“He pulled out a screwdriver and threatened to stab me.
When I continued to calm him down, he tried to stab me.
To save himself, I tried to stop him where I suffered an injury in my left hand,” Shardul said in his pen.
He said that he called police personnel patrolling the nearest area who rushed there and arrested the defendant.
Investigation of this case officer, Gautam Solanki Sub-Inspector from the Ranip Police said that the defendant was arrested and charged because it voluntarily caused the wound to prevent public servants from assignments, say harsh words and criminal intimidation.
