New Delhi: Mumbai heavyweight, Karnataka and Delhi have been beaten in the virtual “death group” in Ranji Trophy, which will start from January 5 next year.
Along with several times the Ranji champions were Hyderabad, Maharashtra and Uttarakhand in the elite group C.
Defense Champion Saurashtra was exchanged for Tamil Nadu, train, Jammu and Kashmir, Jharkhand and Goa at Elite Group D.
Runal-Up Bengal last year has a relative group Easy (elite b) with Vidarbha, Haryana, Kerala, Tripura and Rajasthan.
Another interesting group is Elite Group A who has Gujarat, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, service and Assam.
Elite E Group has Andhra, Uttar Pradesh, Baroda, Odisha, Chhattisgarh and Pondicherry.
The plate group will consist of Chandigarh, Meghalaya, Bihar, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh.
The six cities where the match will be played are Mumbai (Elite A), Bengaluru (Elite B), Bengaluru (Elite C), Ahmedabad (Elite D), Trivandrum (Elite E) and Chennai (Plate).
There will be five days quarantine for the team ahead of each match.
